Helena Wrehdi Ashadele

Chief Financial Officer

Helena was born in Monrovia, Liberia and move to the United States in 1985. She attended elementary and high school in New Jersey, where she learned how to overcome obstacles at a young age with help from incredible teachers and the constant support from her family.


Helena started her college career at Radford University and later transferred to the University of Minnesota, where she served as a board member and President of the Africana Student Association for two years. She withdrew from school due to financial reasons and found a position in the banking industry that gave her practical experience in her desired field. She started as a bank teller and later became a personal banker and a teller manager, where she had the opportunity to perform audits at multiple branch locations. While working in auditing, she decided in order to go further in her career she needed to earn an accounting degree. In June 2009, she earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with a concentration is Accounting, from Drexel University.


In the fall of 2009, Helena started her accounting career with Deloitte & Touche, a firm that provides Audit, Consulting, Advisory and Tax Services. She worked in the Audit practice for approximately three years and later transferred to the Advisory Service when she relocated to Atlanta, Georgia in 2012.In 2014, she left Deloitte & Touche to join White Cap (formerly part of HD Supply) where she is currently working.


Since Helena was a young adult, she has volunteered and tutored children of all ages in low-income communities and has participated in and organized back to school drives for children. She has also established her own organization targeted to helping underprivileged children in the United States as well as Liberia excel academically, professionally and socially. Helena believes given the right resources and a little bit of opportunity children can soar beyond bounds.


Helena is married and has two children. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling and running. She is currently exploring different hobbies to expand her leisure activities.
